Overview
CathLink is an optional Cath Lab module that can be added onto VisCIMS.
It consists of software that runs on the VisCIMS computer on your network, as well as CIMSStations with attached scanners and printers in the Cath Lab.
The CIMSStation terminals connect to your existing Ethernet network and perform all operations locally while transmitting information back to the VisCIMS database.
There are many different ways to configure the system, so please contact us to discuss what your facility might require,
and to see a no-obligation demo.
Features and Functions
By Procedure
Track material usage by procedure.
With a printer attached to the LINX terminal in the room, you can print
a complete log of all materials used during each procedure.
Non-Stock Replenishment
The most difficult and complex inventory to track is your non-stock
inventory. With CathLink, tracking non-stocks has been made
simple. CathLink includes tracking the requisitioning and the
receiving processes. CathLink generates reports during each
procedure based on usage by patient, requisitions by vendor, and the
products needed based on each day's caseload showing all inventory
issued and used.
Simple Process
Advanced wireless scanning stations allow
technicians complete mobile scanning during each procedure - right in
the room. After scanning the patient ID once, the technician
simply scans the manufacturer's barcode on the product, or the
hospital's internal barcode created with HealthLine's CIMSGen barcode
printing software. By scanning each product that the physician
requests during the procedure, waste is eliminated, reducing your
operating cost.
Continuous Polling
CIMSLink continuously polls the CIMSStations at each inventory
location in real time. The stat feature immediately alerts you
when those inventory items identified to be never out-of-stock need to
be replenished.
EDI Integration
CathLink can exchange EDI 850 Purchase Orders and 856 Advance Ship Notices
using OnCall*EDI or directly with Lawson.
Other formats and interfaces are available upon request.
CathLink's unique balance forward function closely monitors
backorders until they are received, eliminating any inventory errors or
shortages.
